Good point!!Even when totally desiccated (dry)?

Good point!!Even when totally desiccated (dry)?
I do like everything to be factually correct. When I employed others, I knew my whispered nickname was 'The Pedant'Good point!!

It is too easy to become complacent, I work on some very high voltage and amperage systems that most do not so we are always thinking safety and have very high safety systems put in place. When we drop down to 240v this is where the problem comes in, we consider it not so dangerous which is ridiculous I know but its like dropping your speed from 70mph to 30mph and it plays tricks with your sensesI never put myself or others at risk.
I was disliked by many contractors because I was holding safety briefings before starting a job and during if needed.
To these days I insist on wearing PPE even for small jobs (saw dust in my eyes is something I have always disliked, even if it doesn't kill you).
I have seen people taking such risks that they shouldn't be allowed anywhere near a building site or power tools.
One of the worst was a self professed "carpenter" who was about to cut a 2 inch x 1 inch piece of oak with my table saw to make a spacer by holding it with his fingers.
Fortunately I was quicker than him losing a hand and pulled the plug.

That would be a good forum username!I do like everything to be factually correct. When I employed others, I knew my whispered nickname was 'The Pedant'![]()

Take this as a big wake up call. You know you messed up, because your brain was telling you at the time you are cutting corners. So, make sure you do things by the book henceforth. It is too easy to become complacent.
I assumed the boiling water is poured before he climbs the ladder, doubtless the H&S inquiry will establish the factsGood point!!
