Hi Everyone,
First post and after general advice. No hot water for a few days, boiler sounds like it’s trying to light up but no good but got F54 and F29 codes.Any ideas from professionals of what this is and ball park figure.(boiler approx 12 years old ).Heating receiver has stopped working as well so not sure if that’s linked to?

I had a Vaillant gas failure code. I reset the boiler, it fired up and the error didn’t come back.

Would that be a valve or PCB board ?
While the pcb is complex build components, it does fail but that is an expensive exercise just to suspect and replace, then find boiler still failing.
Same with gas valve which is not an end user fix since it needs set

When was the boiler serviced and what was the depth of service procedure

Gets an annual service from a certified engineer. Not sure as regards to how in depth the service is.

Minimum service schedule is as per the manual that came with the boiler. Just because he is registered ( which he or she has to be ) means nothing. This boiler was also serviced by a registered engineer
