OMG I got a disciplinary at work.

Have they sent you home?
No they all thought I did the right thing and commended me, just said if it happens again to drop a text to a line manager so they are aware of it. Then the conversation turned to just about me and my physique and looks. It was always going to go that way.

They made an appoint for you with a plastic surgeon? :giggle:

Look on the bright side, it’s a final written if they want to keep you, and gross misconduct dismissal if they don’t. Mention a few serious breaches of health and safety that management have ignored, and use that against them if they ever have to sack you as the real reason for getting rid of you. It won’t stop them getting rid of you but it will up the compo.

Maybe not tacho s but loads of companies now have their vehicles tracked 24/7.

I'd hate to be tracked....im a free spirit  ...if I've had enough I go home, if i want to start at 9 instead of 8 I will do.
I agree that is a great senario, however we cannot do that as we are a public service and once that power goes out, we have to spring into action regardless of time, we get perks for this, its give and take.

I love lamp posts....i have marked many in my life....
It is a passion the world over, we take them for granted without realising the importance of them, they go unoticed because we are so efficient in our work, without street lighting and the extraordinary team that install and maintain them, the world would be thrown into chaos and anarchy. They are the backbone to civilisation and law and order. I am proud to be the top street lighting engineer in the world.
