Trump has said he is fed up with US taxpayers having to pay big money to police the world. Looking like he will just withdraw to having influence in the western hemisphere instead. Likewise, the problems of the world and the misfortunes that befall those in it should NOT be the responsibility of hard-pressed taxpayers in either UK or Europe.
