Looking for a smarter way to manage your heating this winter? We’ve been testing the new Aqara Radiator Thermostat W600 to see how quiet, accurate and easy it is to use around the home. Click here read our review.
Do mean you have a switch on the wall (sink) that just turns on the upper heating element?
And a lower element that only turns on overnight on cheap rate electric.
Perhaps the lower heater has failed or the cheap rate electric is not being enabled.
Hi, there are 2 switches. One for off/on and the other for sink/bath. The switch was replaced in April and is working. ‘Sink’ uses one element ’Bath’ uses 2. My initial thoughts are one of the elements has gone. But if surely if the ‘bath’ element had gone the ‘sink’ element would still heat the larger amount of water slower. Can’t work it out.
Nope, the sink heater is at the upper part, and heat rises, so only the upper part will be heated. The bath element, is set lower, and so heats more water above it.
Not necessarily, there could be several other things which have failed on the circuit, but that would need to be determined with the use of test equipment.
