Yesterday I replaced my kitchen sink and tap. The handle broke off the stopcock so now I have no running water!
It's old - I've been here nearly 19 years and it predates me - and has to be turned very tightly to stop the water.
I can't budge it.
I also can't afford a plumber so please tell me what tool I need to get this thing open again! I've tried a new ball valve handle, but the hole was too small (couldn't find my tape measure when I needed it) but there's not enough room to actually use it anyway, because the waste downpipe from the bathroom is next to it.
All stopcock keys I've seen have square holes which I don't think will be able to grip well enough.
