Need suggestions on decorating single pane 1820 original sash windows

After low temp last night condensation on windows should I silicone seal where the condensation accumulates? Or just paint as normal?

In a conservation area, the windows are professionally draught proofed.

You need to start monitoring humidity and try to lower the amount you produce.
We just started to use our dehumidifiers now it's autumn which we put on in the evenings and for drying things.
We don't get condensation now.

As for windows, you can't paint them with condensation or if they are wet.
You can't paint silicone either although you can paint polymers like CT1 with waterbased paints.
Silicone wont stick to anything wet either although a polymer will.

Just trying to protect the wood underneath they are the original frames. It is in a kitchen it has been fine for years as heating was on but now using less heating & some doors being replaced with double glazing stopped some of the draughts which allowed the house to breathe. Condensation water mopped up first thing & dry in the day do have trickle vents in French doors which are open. Many thanks for your reply.
