Is Screwfix forum down today?

Ohh I remember why I stopped using it, it's one of these stupid sites that thinks they should be able to plant cookies on your device. No way jose I don't use stupid sites like that!
Jose doesn't seem to think that this site is much different from any other. My browser says ....

How is it over there these days?
TBH I very rarely post, since they stopped private messages it became very hard to offer personal advice out of the glare of the public eye, which a lot of people preferred.
I primarily lurk these day unfortunately.
Also, and the main reason I suppose, was the blatant admin misuse of banning etc without looking at the bigger picture.

The only one who should be banned and flogged is Coloumb.

Well using LibreWolf and when logged onto THIS site with no trouble I get :-
"Your stored cookies, site data, and cache are currently using 0 bytes of disk space."

Depending on how paranoid you are regarding network security you may want to adjust your browser settings or use a more secure browser.
I guess you could say I am at the paranoid end of the spectrum :giggle:
I don't like people attempting to steal my data or hack my systems:evil:

If, like you have seemingly done, I configured my browser to allow no cookies at all (which i could do), a lot of things would probably become a lot more tedious to do.

See above.

Having spoken to one of the earlier SF MODs is seems they had a policy of looking at posters who created difficulties and if the IP address had multiple login names (contrary to the rules) it was a very rapid 'thank you and goodbye'.

Perhaps that may be an issue?

Rare is the website, which doesn't plant cookies on your device. Most are added for perfectly legitimate reasons.
