Best wishes to the hostages, prisoners and otherwise from all sides released today.

Have you noticed how Israelis held by Hamas are called 'hostages', but Palestinians held by Israelis are called 'detainees' or 'prisoners'?
20 living Israeli hostages and hundreds of Palestinian prisoners emotionally reunited with their families

Such is the depth of indoctrination that even the BBC is involved.
It's the same throughout all the media articles.

it's called 'micro racial aggression' -
Racial microaggressions are brief and commonplace daily verbal, behavioral, or environmental indignities, whether intentional or unintentional, that communicate hostile, derogatory, or negative racial slights and insults toward people of color (Sue et al. 2007).

Edit:
Just heard on Classic FM news, they referred to "the hostages and detainees released".

There must be a UK government edict to refer to them as such.

Going to be a tough road to travel after that amount of time in captivity from a set of savages, their minds will be all over the place.
Yes, I agree. Why do israelis feel the need to torture and abuse their prisoners?
Ah, yes, of course, it's because they're Palestinian.
Some of them are being released unaware that their whole families have been killed.

“The Israeli prison system as a whole, in regard to Palestinians, turned into a network of torture camps.”

“We were severely beaten by 20 officers, masked men using batons and sticks, dogs and firearms,” he said.

“We were tied from behind, our eyes blindfolded, beaten severely. Blood was gushing from my face. They kept beating us for 50 minutes. I saw them from under the blindfold. They were filming us while beating us.”

Filly 100% supports this regime along with HighwayMan and others

@Notch7 Tell me, what was the percentage of bodies with regards to live prisoners returned on both sides.

Israel have killed 65,000+ Palestinians

how many hostages dead...yeah not so many huh
No, I’m talking about prisoners, stop swerving. The Israelis looked after their hostages better than the Palestinians did. At least we got that straight.

at least 75 Palestinians have died in Israel jails

around 83 hostages taken by Hamas have been killed........some of those killed by IDF bombs

I note you use the word "percentage" because you are trying to dishonestly frame the question...........no surprise for somebody that supports the killing of 65,000 Palestinians

Yes, percentages. That’s how you’ll get a true idea of how well they were looked after. So, 75 died out of thousands held by the Israelis compared to 83 out of a few hundred by the Palestinians. Doesn’t seem too bad to me - I know who I’d prefer to be held prisoner by if I had the choice.

Erm, even fillystine started, with the title of the thread, with his different word usage to refer to the hostages held by both sides.
Best wishes to the hostages, prisoners and otherwise, is the title of the thread.
It's racial microaggression. It's pervasive. It's so pervasive that it's sometimes used unintended.

To Motties' credit, although I disagree with his ideology, I thank him for avoiding the use of racial microaggression.
Notch also mainly avoided it, with just one small exception.

Highway Man is a lost cause.
