Hi all, I’m struggling to remove this shower rail. Could anyone advise me? Much appreciated!

The end covers slide straight off usually. Pull downwards on the one in the photo. Then you'll see the screws holding the rail to the floor

Thanks for your advice, unfortunately i had no luck pulling it down or towards me. Felt like the chrome cover is stuck with the rail itself. I’m quite defeated

It (the screw shroud) should slide off unless its fixed wholesale with some kind of snap-in type fitting?

Can it pull off towards you then, if downwards doesn't work?

It must be important to try and tackle it at 4am. The u shaped cover should pop off. I’m one of the pics it has a slight gap, maybe try a bit or gentle prying.

If you’re changing it maybe cut it with a junior hacksaw

Henry is based in Australia

Small wooden block. Placed on edge of shroud. Gentle taps downward with a hammer

The rail looks identical in shape to the Duravit one I installed

When I did it I drilled a small hole in the bottom of the plastic shroud, to allow water to run out, and avoid it scaling up

Hey all, I appreciate your help. I was able to find a video how they install a similar shower rail as mine, apparently the chrome cover plate just slides in. however, not sure what has been stopping me from pulling it out.
