What's the best way of removing this silicone after cutting with a Stanley knife to remove the panel to get access to the toilet flush pipe for a repair. I don't want to damage the wood by scraping the old silicone off before re installing. Thanks

Hard to tell, but isn’t the top part the access panel? Can’t see any silicone other than what’s on the pan, if the pan is being removed, then it’ll just likely come off with that and then scrape excess off whilst it’s out.

Thanks yes I need to take the bottom panel off to get access to adjust the flush pipe

I have been considering a concealed cistern toilet too but how do you access the cistern once it's concealed in a tiled wall for maintenance/replacing parts?

OK so I had a look at a grohe one in B&Q today, how on earth would you be able to replace the long valve through a small rectangular hole?
Looks absolutely impossible physics wise.
