I live in a Victorian terrace flat conversion. I own the first floor flat and our building consists of a small shared hallway when you first come in and myself and our neighbour have internal front doors to access our respective flats.

I'm looking to replace my internal front door and currently have an engineered core internal door that i'm planning on fitting with a yale lock (link here https://lpddoors.co.uk/products/oak-4p/).

Is there a reason I shouldn't use an internal door for my internal flat front door?

Thanks
Jono

That’s better than nothing. Anyone know of it needs to be 60? It’s only two stories, right?

The other consideration is security, and whether your insurance is happy with it.

I would fit a latch lock with 5 lever dead lock, door chain, eye viewer, 2 large barrel bolts, London bar and Birmingham.

Also, is there a wired smoke alarm?

Andy

OP,
There are specific Bldg Regs for flat entrance doors.
As above, a fire door fitted according to Regs is required - the door must also be a security door.
