Fujifilm Cameras

Where are you renting?

You will likely need a radio license and “upgrade” your Dayskipper to ICC (just a form and a fee). Which is actually inferior, but recognised in the EU.

Croatia would not be my first choice in July. Pretty though it is.

I’d probably look at southern Ionian. Unless your friend is already qualified and you are just crew.
Yes he was an officer on oil tankers years ago and he is qualified. I told him I was doing the day skipper course so he asked me and Lena to come to Croatia. He goes every year and island hops, he said you can get into harbours with all bars around where you moor up. I will find out who the hirers are. He showed me some pics and I was shocked as they look like super yachts.

Expect to pay plenty of mooring fees. 50 -75 a night to anchor, 150-250 a night in a marina or town quay and there isn't much wind in the summer.

Greece - anchoring is free, 30 a night in a marina/town quay would be expensive.

He said aprox 200 euros per night

understanding exposure
Lighting
and so it goes on -
Yes I have been reading about composition that you advised. It is a fascinating hobby, so much to learn.

this was a website my niece used - dont upload any images until you have fully read the T&C's (that applies to ALL websites)
But it was useful to go through various images
we went through quite a few and we discussed what she thought was good and why etc and of course went through her images - the competitions subjects also gave her a reason to go and take photos
public can rate images and they set competitions by subject -
Also the meta data is often included in the image so you can see the Camera, lens, Speed, Aperture, ISO used

and there are loads of sites like this on the internet, facebook has loads of groups as well

WOW thanks for this. I am excited to start my photography journey. It has arrived btw. I couldnt believe it. Ordered it suday night, arrived Monday morning!!!! better than amazon.

cool,

check it all out if used - got through all the apertures on the lens and focal length - check manual and auto focus - any other functions on the lense
THEN of course
try out all the camera settings ,speeds, apertures, iso - creative functions - focus lock , exposure lock etc etfc - check it all out as you have at least 14 days from receiving items as online order - take photos of the item with phone - make sure it really is all good
not sure what the T&C's are of where you purchased
