Not seeing general discussions

If you go to Preferences:

There is a now an option to hide the General discussion forum. You can switch on/off at will. One thing to note, it does take up to 30mins to reflect any change you have made.

Since this option was implemented, not even sure the problem is actually due to it, and I have not ticked it, but...

I used to be able to use two fingers on the mouse- pad, gradually spreading them apart, to zoom in to the likes of a photo, to look more closely at the detail. Now, it just snaps back to the original size, beyond a certain limit. It only happens on this site, no other.

Second issue - if I click on a listed item in a forum thread, which I have partially read, it used to take me to the next unread item, ignoring the previously read items. Now it suddenly seems a bit random, I'm not sure, but it seems to go to likes which have been added to posts.

Also, having read the entire thread and returning back to the “new posts” section, for me, it still displays the thread I had already viewed, instead of hiding it.

Why don't you right click on the title in a new posts section and select "open in new tab"?
That way you can open new tabs for the posts your interested in and keep going back to the same new posts list tab to see even more.

It will display the thread you have just read if your just hitting backspace as that list will be cached.

Well, because it worked fine before, and doing that, it ends up with masses of tabs open, needing to be closed.
Needing to be closed?
So instead of hitting back space to the new posts (1 click) you simply click on the tabs X (1 click).
No extra work Harry. :)
