Newcastle was always a popular destination for Royal Navy ships to visit for R&R.
In the 80's the local liaison officer would hire a night club/dance hall for a ship's company dance and put out personal invitations to local nurses and others.
I have hazy memories of some good times there.

The modern navy now has mixed male/female ship companies so I doubt whether the same applies today

I am up for it. No surprises with me, built like a tank with the face of an angel but yet so loveable and can drink like a fish. Everyone would be all over me and be in awe of just how amazing I am.
