Does anyone have a list of thermostats that are compatible with the BDR91 relay, or is any 868MHz wireless receiver going to pair OK? Currently have a potentially faulty Honeywell CM927 and want to know what my options are.

Looks like the Honeywell T3R is. What about the Salus RT510RF?

Any others?

Thanks.

Salus are usually dire won't be and I doubt the T3R will be as they changed the receiver. Only Honeywell products and others made by Honeywell will be compatible with the same receiver, the T2R being one of them. Imho Honeywell aren't what they used to be, I'd just upgrade the full thermostat.

Thanks for your expertise! Glad I posted here as I read that the T3R was. Looks like I'll buy a T2R or just another CM927 off eBay, as it must of lasted 10+ years without any issues.

Looks like the FPP16216 is also a direct replacement too, right? Thanks.
I'm not 100% on which one that is as some are Pro series, but I tried it and although it would work, lights kept flashing on the receiver, so maybe not totally compatible.

Sorry, I gave slightly inaccurate information. When COVID hit Honeywell had to revert back to the bdr91 receiver because they couldn't get hold of components for the Honeywell home receiver (different size and different receiver altogether). So, if you can get a T3R with a bdr91 receiver then this will work. That said, I've never tried to pair a T3R with the Honeywell home receiver to a bdr91!

Anyone know if there is any validity to this statement posted by Honeywell Support?

"There are different part numbers for the T3R wireless programmable room thermostat:

T3R - Wireless version - Y3H710RF0053 ( this has his own receiver box)

T3R - (compatible with BDR91) - Y3H710RF0053-1."

I would say so as it kind of echos what I put

So its pot luck what might be delivered, unless you have a 'Physical' store where you can check the packaging before purchase.
Depends on what’s advertised online. If the description states it’s a BDR91, then you could challenge the sale under the sale of goods act. Depending on your boiler, you could opt for something more energy efficient and save money by not overshooting temperatures
