How many more U turns will this bloody government make?

When you have to make an analogy of an analogy
Eh?

RAC offered a pointless fantasy land analogy and I corrected him with a real world one. Not my fault the poor old duffer doesn't understand the building trade and that he only succeeded in reinforcing just how savvy Sir Keir is with his politics.

A sensible analysis. I'd add that Broon could have let the banks go bust and guaranteed deposits. Whether that would have been better or worse long-term, I don't know. I didn't hear any discussion of this idea, they saw they were in trouble and lobbed a load of money at them without pausing. But it would have flushed out a load of overpaid crooks from the system and given them a massive warning for the future.

That's OK - I'm sure all the people denying that the Tories used the term "austerity" will be pleased to find out the facts.
They're probably the same people who would deny that the tories named themselves as the 'nasty party'!

I thought most of us were against digital IDs?
Now we're upset because we not having them?

Starmer is not having a good time

What with U turns forced on him by his back benchers
Than there is this Chinese embassy caper

That and having to brown nose Trump 24/7

Not good
When you watch PMQs, it's a bit surreal to think come 2029, maybe just maybe, those few Reform members sitting up the back might be sitting at the other side with dozens more by their side, with Labour consigned to sitting across the way with who knows how many.

Interesting times right enough.

I am looking forward to tougher times ahead knowing that no matter how tough it gets it will be for the greater good. I am sick of our softly, softly approach to all of the issues that we face, Hotels for migrants whilst our own homeless receive zero help, Human rights lawyers making a quick buck from our silly laws. Our culture and heritage disappearing and left as a minority in our own country, enough is enough.

No, it won't. What you look forward to is the pandering to the ignorant, the bigoted, the back-ward looking. It won't be for the greater good.

I am sick of our softly, softly approach to all of the issues that we face, Hotels for migrants whilst our own homeless receive zero help,

That's not the fault of migrants.

It's because of deliberate government policy to restrict the supply of social housing and to not pay enough in benefits.

Human rights lawyers making a quick buck from our silly laws.

So you're blaming lawyers for taking clients?

Our culture and heritage disappearing and left as a minority in our own country, enough is enough.

You, and people like you, are always going to be in a minority.

I live in London, and when I see people with different appearances, hear languages I don't understand or recognise, encounter "ethnic" shops, see "world music" events, I rejoice at the richness and diversity, I rejoice at the multicultural, vibrant, city I live in which attracts people from all round the world.

It's the presence of people like you that I do not rejoice in.
