Hi,
I am planning to build a lean to gazebo (or buy a pre built one) to the side of my house
The house is an ex council, timber frame, house, from around 1970s, it has a single layer of brick on the outside wall, which i believe is called a "brick leaf". and then inside it has a a plastic sheet, osb boards, insulating material and wooden studs.
These type of builds seems to be quite common in the UK so I would appreciate if anyone has experience with this type of building.
I would like to have reassurance that attaching a ledger board to lean the gazebo the single brick layer wall will be safe.
Should I reinforce with upright wood boards against the wall, or build an indipendent gazebo instead?
any advice will be much appreciated
Thanks in advance
M
