Replace Eurosec keypad

I have an Eurosec alarm keypad where some of the keys are starting to become unresponsive.

Have managed to find a replacement here: https://securitytradesupplies.com/product/eurosec-cp8l-keypad/

Looks similar to mine - PR5208 Rev 1.0

It's under £30, and if I fit it myself, way less than the quotes I've had for someone doing it professionally - £90 -> £120

Are there any cons I should look out for when replacing?

A few different alarm fitters suggested replacing the panel and keypad with something new, like Texecom, as they said Eurosec isn't manufacture
d anymore.

Hmm they have a used part for sale.
The system is no longer manufactured.
Says it’s tested, so assuming it’s all there it’s a straight swap.

You could possibly clean this one first.

The buttons can be removed cleaned and the pcb( down power and remove before cleaning).

Take a picture before removing so you know the connections.

We have a couple new, old stock, but £50 a pop plus delivery.

Just make sure you don’t blow the fuse, believe they were glass fuses if you blow that you well need a replacement glass fuse.

Go for a new / old stock if you can as the keypad buttons are a common issue
I normally take them out and clean with meths on a cotton bud

Yes it will stop the fuse from blowing.
However the external bell if not placed in hold off may ring for 15 to 20 minutes or until power is back on. Whilst its unlikely not to go off longer than that I have no idea on what you have and how its wired up.
