ICE told to get the eff out

Sanctuary cities is actually a term used by the right. As usual with the right, there is a massive amount of misinformation and outright lies.

For instance, if you look at Minnesota and Minneapolis, right wingers claim that illegal immigrants who are serious criminals aren't being handed over to ICE when requested. This was one of the excuses Trump used for the crackdown. But that turns out to be a lie. In the USA, serious criminals are sent to state prisons. And in Minnesota, the state has always handed over serious criminals to ICE for deportation. Less serious criminals go to county jail. It is true that certain counties and cities, including Minneapolis, won't cooperate to hand over illegal immigrants from their jails. But these are not the serious criminals which Trump claimed.

The only dodgy thing about wiki is the right wing billionaire oligarchs who are frustrated that it’s not up for sale.
The AI quote is a poor quality rewrite of a Wikipedia article that cites the US equivalent of the Guardian as its main source.

There is nothing wrong with using AI. But you have to check the sources. Particularly if you are going to present the results as fact.

Nobody has yet explained how an illegal can live and work as a useful member of society even with the best of intentions

That must be intended as proof that the claim is false.

Fail.
Perhaps you can explain how an illegal immigrant with no right to work, pay taxes, acquire health insurance etc. can live, pay bills and become a useful member of society?

I’ll wait.

You must have in mind a country where there are lawbreaking employers. I hear the farming business in USA red states is in trouble when they lose their workforce.

I've always thought it is beneficial to have migrants join the regular economy, contribute to society and pay tax, rather than forbid them to work legally.

It’s good for people to comply with immigration laws and become useful members of society. Paying taxes, buying the necessary health insurance etc. not burdening law abiding residents. We agree.

So how does an illegal manage that?
Mentioning the Guardian like the Chicken does, is not proof of anything.
It’s the same as AI referencing something you wrote as fact.

ICE have been asked to turn a blind eye in those heavily dependant red states. It's no accident they are running riot and murdering in the blue states. I bet Don has his fair share of undocumented hombres doing their bit, propping up his industries.

Yep, pretty useful contributors for some.........
Texas and Florida are among the states with the highest shares of unauthorized immigrants in their workforce, with estimates suggesting around 9% of workers in these states were undocumented
