Hi all,

Have just recently installed a new towel rail, but noticed that due to the long length of speedfit pipe that the connection into the reducer is causing a slight leak. The pipe is pushed in fully, but as you can see from the image is slightly cocked to the left due to the length of pipe used.

Not only this, but it looks bloody awful due to the shoddy work the builders did when they installed the original radiator.

I have a number of options in my head:

1. Cut pipework down and install in a similar fashion to how it shows in the picture.
2. Add a couple of 90 degree elbows to make the connection a bit straighter.
3. Remove all speedfit and replace with copper pipe coming out the wall at the bottom - I am not overly confident doing this, but with the right instruction am willing to give it a shot.

Happy to take any advice/guidance.

TIA

I'd alter the pipework so it comes out straight into the valves from the wall. That would normally be hidden behind a radiator, not suitable at all for a towel rail.
Will I have to cut the plasterboard away so I can remove the required amount of speedfit, then replace the plasterboard once finished, or is there a more suitable method?
