'UK has been colonised by immigrants'

A fly on the wall TV documentary some time ago showed an African going to an NHS clinic for treatment. The people on the desk asked for his ID and he produced it from a briefcase. It wasn't valid, so he pulled a different ID out of the case, which they did accept. He had a case full of different peoples' IDs. There was a light-hearted, trivial atmosphere in the room- the staff were not taking it seriously, and of course the TV crew were sympathetic.

Public sector workers are mostly left-wing wing and will bend any rules to help people dodge paying fees. I saw this when I did an evening course at a college about 10 years back, where tutors spent an inordinate amount of time explaining the various ways applicants could get the course for free. A private business would be primarily concerned with getting the money.

Such a vivid imagination.

3/4 million people added to the NHS system every year. Hmmmm, I wonder why it takes so long to get a doctor's appointment?

But lefties keep telling is the NHS NEEDS MORE MONEY, MORE FOREIGN DOCTORS AND NURSES and, of course...

VOTE LABOUR FOREVER!

It's called flux. Large numbers of people come to the UK legally each year. Large numbers then leave when their visas run out. Hence, why we discuss net migration.

Also, new people, called babies, are born each year.

Left wing liars talk about net immigration. The end result is that we get ever more foreigners, at the expense of an an ever dwindling native population.

Any sensible person with half a brain talks about net migration. If in 2026 a million foreigners come to the UK, and 900,000 foreigners leave the UK, then the important issue is that 100,000 extra foreigners are here in the UK. Only a complete idiot would concentrate on the million entering without taking account of the 900,000 leaving.

Failing that, sign up at a loosely run GP surgery with proof of address - a simple rental agreement will suffice - and you will be issued with an NHS number that cannot be cancelled and is valid for life. Mrs Mottie lost count of the DNA (Did Not Attend) letters she typed telling the GP that their referral didn’t turn up for the consultation as they were back in their home country - and these were people on Hep B tablets where a 30 day course cost over £100 per tablet!
And you can point us to the number of people who have done this?

Or is this the same scare mongering that we got with the 'health tourism' lies?

Which at it's height was 0.3% of the NHS budget, and is now considerably less.

Or it could be a lot British nationals leaving.

We don't need to guess because we have all the figures. The point is that using net migration is the only sensible metric. Overall net migration can then be separated further as below into subsets of net migration:

What are you after - name, dates, addresses? Pillock. When you have a wife that worked in a GP surgery you get to see and hear things that people like you with no connection to the health service will never experience. My wife’s surgery were hot on checking validity so not many that applied to join got through the system but a friend who worked in a different surgery run by a money grabbing doctor, told us of over 30 patients on their books all registered at one address in a tower block. They, obviously, weren’t that hot pr bothered about who went on their books. A bit like uni's taking on illiterates just to put bums on seats.

Something they discussed on a recent Debate Night (Scottish QT) was the declining birth rate up here, combined with some younger Scots emigrating because of lack of opportunity here. The point some on the panel were making is we (in Scotland) need immigration to fill whatever roles, skilled and otherwise, where there is a lack of human resource. It's either that or we need to find ways to encourage Scottish folk to start having more babies!
