Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have a damp problem and it is a bit unusual in that it appears to be spreading across the floor as well as up the wall. Only a small section of wall is affected.

Does this sound like rising damp, or could it be something else given that the damp is also present on the floor? Any advice on what might be causing it and what steps I should take to resolve it would be much appreciated.

Cheers

That's an external door, right? Post a photo of the outside.
Here a photo of the front door. I know its a mess, but it must be some sort of damp issue growth of the damp patches (not water ingress).

I've considered using these: this product but it does not explain why I am getting a growing damp patch on my floor.

Many thanks
