What sort of tap fitting is this - and how do I tighten it ?

Hi There

I have a single monobloc type tap in the kitchen which has worked loose - see pictures. I'm trying to understand what sort of fixing it has - and specifically, how I can tighten it ? Sorry for the picture quality - it's in quite a tricky space to get to. Any help would be much appreciated.

Can't quite make it out, but normally a bolt/screw to tighten,

You'll need one of these on the nut in the middle of that C washer to tighten -

Hard to make out entirely but as per @denso13's link it looks like the metal horseshoe piece is damaged, and might not be able to tighten. You have a Philips type screw, you could try it but don't be surprised if it snaps altogether

Or just a screwdriver.A lot of them threaded bolts are slotted on the end and can be tightened with a screwdriver

Thanks for your help all - have ordered the spanner set as I suspect I'll need one anyway but in the meantime will try the screwdriver option.

Thanks again - spanner set worked a treat! Think it's going to be a regular job, as I suspect regular swivelling of the tap will loosen it again over time.
