Back to Joe Meek....'Telstar' by the Tornados was one of his biggest hits, put out at a time when rock instrumentals were highly popular. There was a vocal version of it also; titled 'Magic Star' sung by Kenny Hollywood...

I have been practicing this dance all night tonight and OMG I have nearly got it, I thought this would be a fantastic show stopper at our meetup, I look fantastic doing it too. When @pete01 announces me onto the stage, I will come on doing this dance to show how amazing I am.

You said you were going to start with a muscle flexing display in your gold speedos. I'm starting to feel short changed.

OMG I did, Ok so I will mix it up, I will enter the stage in my gold speedos doing this dance then after the applause has died down I will go into my muscle flexing routine.

The Snobs "Buckle Shoe Stomp".

I had intended to put on the Snobs version of 'Giddy Up Ding Dong', but it's not on YouTube! If you can find it, it's one of the rockingest records going!

Utter scumbag, but great music.

Agree. First started appreciating music in the glam era and his music had a great beat and a bit of fun. Shame it all ended so badly. Seen him live couple of times. Once at Bristol Student Union and Newport Arena one new years eve. Great showman.

You can still get a fix and remain on safe ground. (y)
