I did report the thread,
Nor is anyone else boyo. The mods aren't interested
Correct. Seems their willingness to make fools of themselves has hit new heights. But are still lies.
Sticks and stones. But anti semitism has a stench that persists, and you stink. That is, of course, a lie.
They weren't particularly hated anywhere other than Europe, so look at the ever (still) present European xenophobia for your answer. And the fact that it wasn't just Jews that were persecuted but other "unassimilated" people. Same **** rising today with a new target for populists to create fear of for political gainIncidentally . . . Do you know why the Jews are so hated? Throughout history they have been persecuted & hated in general by every society they have ever settled in, but do you know why? It is often said it's because they killed Christ but I don't buy that. So what is the best reason you can think of???
Another one telling everyone they live in a little white village that has not been turned into a ship hole. They weren't particularly hated anywhere other than Europe, so look at the ever (still) present European xenophobia for your answer. Yes I used past tense for a reason. Driven out? or moved to Israel on the promise of free land, free education, free health care etc in a Western supported barbwire surrounded gate guarded community. The hatred has spread throughout the region around Palestine, for more tangible reasons than the hatred in Europe which was largely based on myths on repeat. Somewhat ironic how the lesser anti-semitism ended with something that created much more substantial anti-semitism. The Arabs don't typically differentiate between Jews and Zionists (just refer to Israelis as "Yahudis") as practically every Jew they come in contact with is pointing a gun at them and ruining their lives. But before that it was the Muslims who had least problem with Jews existing as they expect them to continue to exist and live mixed with them to the end of time. It is expected that there will be Jews, Christians, polytheists etc living among them. Think about that for a second. We don't have that in our mythos, in England we could if we were narrow minded, expect a right to only encounter other Englanders. Which brings it back full circle to the xenophobia we seem unable to keep in checkHow many are left in Africa or other Middle Eastern countries. Very few, they've largely been driven out.

The way I understand it similar was happening across Europe. Usury also forbidden in Judaism but it is only specified when between jews. Loophole used by Christian rulers (who couldn't deal with usury) allowed (practically forced) jews to do money lending but heavily taxed them to profit from it on the DL (rank hypocrisy nothing new) so to cover the taxes they lent at high rates making them unpopular to start with. Then if debt got out of hand what could be easier than arrange for a little pogrom of the money lenders using some story, hey presto debt cleared. Those stories repeated created the antisemitism blood libel stories. In this country anti-semitism stems from the time of Edward I who wanted loans from the Jewish moneylenders to prosecute his campaign against the Scots: they refused to lend him so much as a groat and consequently rumours spread of 'how they killed Christ', leading to a pogrom forcing them across the Channel into Europe. Flanders, i think.
Ironically, Jews were allowed to loan money as it was deemed to be ursury by the Catholic church who banned Christians from going into the trade. Old Longshanks has much to answer for.
