What have you bought today?

Today I mostly bought a motorhome. A hunormous 6 berth home from home. Traditionally I've always been happy to doss down on something akin to a mat of polythene with a tarp' to cover me, but these bones are old now & I need my comfort, I am far too old to sleep in a field. We will be trialling this new way of wild man camping at the first meeting at Olivers Mount in prep for the IoM TT. The rogues, vagabonds & ne'er do well'rs motorcycle club will not let age beat us into submission.

Welcome back Dork. Good to see you're still alive :)

A new tub of Black & White hair 'pomade'. I can still remember when I bought the big tub as I remember having it delivered to a place I worked at and my admin lady liking it so much she ordered some for her husband. It has a use by date of 18 months from being opened. I left that place in 2010 so it was before then. I used it sparingly!

Well, I was bang on with my estimate of how long I had left.

This post was made in November '23. :ROFLMAO:
Practically vintage!

Not food related but I have a jar of Back & White 'pomade' that has a 'use by' suggestion of 18 months once opened. I don’t know exactly how long I have had it but I do remember getting it delivered to a place that I worked because I remember my office lady saying she liked the smell so she bought some for her husband. I left that place in 2010. If I continue to use it at my present rate, I still have 2 or 3 years left in the jar!

Ordered some new carpet. 3 bedrooms, stairs and landing. Mrs mottie reckons the carpet we have has been down at least 15 years so I suppose it’s about time. Had a few quotes, got the cheapest one round to measure up before ordering and with a bit of bartering I managed to get a near £300 discount off of it. I’d better get cracking on decorating the main bedroom now before the carpet arrives. Should be the easiest one as one wall is all fitted wardrobes and the other wall is almost all window. I've already decorated the two other bedrooms. Just the bathroom to freshen up after that and that’s it for the year!

That was for lunch today.

It’s not bad for the price - £2.60.

I know it’s not healthy to eat all that chocolate, but I couldn’t stop myself. Eh, perhaps I’ll get something more healthy and more suitably classed as a full meal.
