Running away from the battle you started can be a retreat. And yes, if you run far enough, you may be able to stop fighting. Though your adversary may not stop attacking you.

The US can stop attacking Iran but without a negotiation there's nothing stopping Iran continuing to hit US bases or shipping in the straights.

The problem is that in Iran's view they're winning. They've got the entire might of the US military hammering them and they're still there and have gained defacto ownership of one of the most valuable sea lanes in the world.

On the antisemitism thread last night, nosy was taunting people to post anything he'd ever posted that was antisemitic. In response I posted 3 posts from a historic thread where deleted member (Bod I think) quoted that 6 million jews had been killed in the holocaust, to which nosy replied 'LOL', to which Bod replied 'why do you find the holocaust funny, do you not like Jews?'

That thread had been deleted by this morning, and possibly the thread nosys antisemitic bile originated on although I haven't looked too hard to find it.

Nosy doesn't like being found out for what he is.
