The vent on the left looks closer to the vent than the one with the pipe on.
So it's doing it's job.

OP, when you see them just mention that their nice new vent kit is missing a bracket else it may blow off in the wind.

No, I meant that the output of the one on the left appears closer to the vent than the output of the plume kit.
About 36" - this is not "nowhere near".
Just a casual observation, nothing to do with your rules, regs etc.
