The last few days have been terrible for me, I thought I'd got away with it this year but nope it's got me.

I take a Piriton tablet every day but I dont think it's doing much.

Any home remedies or any suggestions?

I only started to suffer in my late 30s and it seems to be getting worse.

Is hayfever one of those things where you used to be able to buy OTC medicine which actually worked, but then because one of the ingredients could be used to manufacture illegal drugs it got banned and replaced with stuff which doesn't work, like what happened with decongestants containing pseudophedrine?

One of the most effective ones got banned in the 90s because it caused cardiac arrests, IIRC. But otherwise I don't think so.
