Leave aerators out and give the whole DHW pipework a good flush through... Any shower valve filters will need cleaning too.
Then see if it returns.
What UV cylinder?
Brian, are you by chance the Brian that lives over the road from me in Rawtenstall?
Because I just had black lumps/deposits come out of my hot water tap in the bathroom too.
I know my hot water system, the bathroom is all new so I doubt it's that, the boiler however is ancient, although the DHW heat exchanger is only a few years old and all metal afaik.
Did not affect the cold tap nor the kitchen.
