Kitchen sink blocked, tricky access

Just returned from holiday to find our kitchen sink completely blocked - it was having drainage issues before we went but our house sitter reported it was blocked the hole week since we were away

We've tried boiling water and plunging - it clears the water in the sink temporaroly but the sink fills up again

The fittings in the picture show the u bend which I have taken all apart and checked for blockages, of which there were none. I suspect the issue is further along the waste pipe - I had a go with a long wire auger to try and feed it down and unblock but I didn't have much luck, I think the blockage may be further along if its the issue

Tried to remove the outside drain inspection cover but it seems stuck shut so waiting on a crowbar to lift, but the 2nd and 3rd inspection covers show not signs of blockage

I wondered if perhaps it could be an airlock - the sink makes gurgling noises when the dishwasher runs and seems to backfill with water which does not drain until the washer stops running...

If you see the small pipe with the black cap on, should this be related to the airlock? I read somewhere about this having a diaphragm perhaps? But I don't see anything in it like that

To make matters worse - I unscrewed the water overfill plug so I could try and get something jammed in there to seal it off whilst I plunged but the rectangular rubber seal has now come off the pipe at the back and fallen down the back of the sink! There's no way I can get round to it without taking the sink out... any tips or help here to get a new one added on?

Not an airlock, blockage in the pipe. Small pipe with black cap is fine.

Thanks, I've added one of these water bladders from amazon to fit to a garden hose to blast the waste pipe with - do you think this will sort it?

Dishwasher hose should be higher than discharge point, you will always get waste running back to DW with that set up.
Could be photo angle but appears waste discharges uphill?

Thanks, I'm confused - dishwasher hose is the dark grey hose on the right which is higher than the discharge point which is the pipe that meets the trap at the bottom?

It could well be that the pipe is slightly uphill or level so I guess I could look at adjusting it downward

Sorry yes sink overflow seal has dropped down the back. I think there's no way to retrieve it unless I take out the supporting cabinet shelf to get under and around but I fear that the supporting shelf is holding the sink in place so it will fall out if I remove!

The hose should come from above, not below, but if you aren't having any issues it's fine.

Ah I see, I don't think it's possible to reroute so it would be from above.

I noticed the draining gets a lot worse when the dishwasher runs and it backfill into the sink and causes gurgling noises too

The dishwasher is probably also full with food scraps etc. Although I pulled the filter and it seems clear enough. Also ran it on a cleaning cycle

All to do with the pipe blockage, try the garden hose and see if it helps.

So there doesn't appear to be a pipe coming out the wall, the black one in thr first picture is the drain pipe, there's a inspection cover like the 2nd picture located near to that drain which I can't get the cover off, need a crowbar and nervous about breaking my patio. The 2nd cover I prized open which us a bit further away and there didn't seem to be any blockage, the 3rd picture is a much smaller cover near the front of the house and that appears clear too

Your second photo shows a tiled cover .The black plastic tab should be prised up and twisted to unlock ,no need for a crowbar.

I removed the black cover and underneath were 2 bolts which I loosened and then there is a metal ring which is there to lift the cover, I managed to do it successfully for one of the drain covers but the other one is firmly shut and I couldn't budge it, hence the crowbar - might need some sand or grout cutting back along the edges

If you have a wet-and-dry vacuum, remove the trap and suck the downstream pipe.

Thanks, that's a good idea but the vac I have is too narrow to fit the pipe sadly
