BBC subscriptions (licence fee) have been falling in the last few years, because people no longer want to consume their services. The governments solution is to get you to pay anyway.

They will be asking you to pay for schools even if you have no children.

They will be asking you to pay for disability benefits even if you have no disabilities.

Your council will be asking you to pay for libraries even if you never use them.

The BBC is ridiculous. Scott Mills, £750k for pressing a play button and talking rubbish for a couple of hours a day.

Sadly this communist government and an evil money grabbing parasitic organisation will conspire to fleece the people to support this utter rubbish. People have decided they don't want to pay for it, so instead of cutting their cloth or shutting it down they're going to force people to pay instead.

We cancelled our licence about 6 years ago, so have saved about a grand so far. We gave up watching the beeb drivel lots of years ago. I mostly watch YouTube factual stuff, my other half watches ITV player sometimes. Or we talk to each other. Or go out and do interesting things.

I remember when the beeb made decent factual programmes about things. Now it's all celebrity dancing nonsense and overpaid people telling you how to think, pushing woke nonsense down people's throats by including subliminal messages in drama plots.

Most of the talent is home grown, they should do a much better job of succession planning. Once a star gets too expensive, let them go and replace them with upcoming talent. There is no reason for Beeb employees to be paid 1/2 a million plus when there is a queue of talented people willing to do it for less.

FGS - has nobody told you that you can avoid being affected by the subliminal messages by wearing a tinfoil hat while you watch?

Totally agree tgat presenters and “celebrities” are overpaid. Most of what they dish up is a load of tosh and not worth watching. All these reality shows are just cheap tv.

I still have a licence but rarely watch bbc, too many lovies and crap programmes.
