Running a Hot water pipe externally

Hi I heard you can run a hot pipe externally from attic boiler down to kitchen sink. Externally without smashing tiling. Anyone heard of this?

You can run them almost anywhere you want, whether it is a good idea is another thing.
 
I think it is called pre insulated pipe, super insulated. The hot pipes run all round the house to where the hot cistern was. Kitchen tap is last in line takes about 5 mins to get hot to it. External to kitchen would put it first in line directly below boiler. Hopefully have hot running water in kitchen. Don't know where to get it.
