I’m aware in Islam or perhaps any other religion that forcing somebody to join one’s religion is forbidden, and usually the people who spread information about their religion are people who I’m expecting are well aware of that.

So what do they do?

They just spread the word and get you to know about their religion - they don’t force you or “shove it down your throat”.

And you take that as something bad?

Did you take religious studies as a subject back when you were in school? If so, what was your attitude - I bet it wasn’t pleasant.

No interest in speaking to them, no interest of them spreading their word or gospel. I also have no interest in anyone knocking on my door spreading the word about their amazing deals they are having on double glazing or driveway cleaning. My taking religious studies at school was equally unimpressive too, I didn't like them. You may want to stand listening to them and that is fine, just dont expect others to have the same tolerence or interest.
