I dug about for numbers. They mostly don't exist or weren't comparable.
But, for 2025, UK illegal immigrants, 41442 by small boats . A couple of thousand "other".
Italy 66000 by sea.
Some leave Italy though of course. I wonder how many of those wind up at Dover.
