They should make it mandatory that there is no early release/release for good behaviour for those charged with killing or seriously injuring emergency service workers in their line of duty - police, fire and ambulance service workers.

Blair and his successors have slowly but surely 'devolved' a lot of the government's responsibilities to 'nongovernmental organisations', which have subsequently become unaccountable to the voter, and leaving Parliament with fewer powers. What is needed is a Great Repeal Act.
