When he made his surprise announcement last month that he was resigning to run for a seat he already represented, the Reform leader said "the people of Clacton should be the judges of my actions"

In his own words he wanted the 'judges' to rule before there was an investigation.

He is playing a long game, he's called the by election now so that when there's another by election because he blatantly broke parliamentary rules he can claim it's unnecessary and try to stump up more support by playing the victim yet again.

I think we all need to be afraid of a man with ideas like his.

Tax cuts favouring the wealthy, leaving the welfare system weaker.

Damaging the NHS.

Scrapping or weakening net zero.

Anyway, back to Fromage's no-show.

Either it was on police advice, or it wasn't.

If it was, BBC got it wrong, or lied.

If it wasn't, Deform got it wrong, or lied.

If the police come out and report they gave no such advice, what then?

Deform claim a misunderstanding?
Or they double down, and alienate the police?

I've read a number of stories and it's clear that people are being a bit coy with their language now.
For example, if the Police told Farage they were expecting some sort of disruption at the count, that's not directly telling him to stay away for his own safety, but it could be interpreted as such by Farage.
I'd expect some clarification on this today.

Let's not forget that a senior member of reform was murdered recently and somehow that's being linked to an attempted firebombing on Farage last year.

Why should they be? It was a foregone conclusion he was going to wipe the floor with the other candidates. The only reason Binface got so many votes were because he picked up the votes from labour, Tories and the greens.
