I haven't got a drive. I can cheat as I live end of terrace. But thats not the way to go.

You’d have to ask Ai, I’m not sure. A lease is 250 ish at the min, I only glanced though

yes just doing that.I think the only way it would pay me is to

● save on the cost of buying Electric Vs Diesel/Petrol

If you get a tesla membership - tenner a month - their charging can be very cheap.
And, if you don't mind popping to a local Supercharger at ten pm - you might only need ten minutes, as you'll get a lot of charge in that time - you'll get an even cheaper rate.
But non-home charging is more pricey than fossil, so you have to weigh up this as a "whole package cost", rather than think that a great and cheap van is expensive. Especially if you don't use so much electricity.
See if you council will put in pavement charging?
Search the charger apps for local homes that sell their home charger space? You might find someone in the next street.......
And before anyone says "what a faff!", I agree.
But I'm trying to make the best of what Bodd has.
I've never said EV is best for all.

To make things work this wouldn't put me out to much.
Electric vans do appear to be cheaper
I need them to sell me a bit of land on side of my house.
Or could pay to install one at a friend's house.

What would you suggest, a daily, weekly or monthly account? I wouldn’t personally impose on a friend for something like that. If you didn’t have an EV, would you be happy for a friend to have a charger installed at your house for their use? I certainly wouldn’t and I wouldn’t expect any friend of mine to ask for such a thing. It’s an outright liberty!

Agree. These romantic notions, borne out in the summer months don’t take into account freezing cold weather, snow storms or the general hurdles the UK winter tends to throw at us.
I have a similar argument with people looking to build extensions, or alterations, or buy houses, during the summer months. I have to remind them that the needs of a property changes throughout the seasons.

Yeah wait…., a full 3 minutes while you put 500 miles in the tank and even if you are down to 20 miles of range left, you will be able to fill up almost anywhere within 20 miles and be on your way with 500 miles in your tank within 5 minutes.
