Just been to Halfords, they charged me £50 for this repair, theres a hole in the screen still, possibly where they drilled it and its still rough to the touch.

I dont think its been done properly, but im no expert....

Not a good repair, I'm afraid....an MOT tester may not like it!

Any such repair I've had done has been virtually invisible.
If the repair is within the designated vision zone I'd be tempted to go back to Halfords & complain, using the MOT concern angle as leverage.
I assume they were the repairer approved by your insurer in which case you could raise your concerns with them.

Autowindscreens are my insurance approved repairers, its in the A Zone, Mot this Monday.

Damage happened Thursday on motorway, i couldn't get the van in via AW they are fully booked, against my better judgement went to Halfords.

Thank you, one and all, I was quite sure it was substandard but others views have helped.

The manager wasn't very forthcoming when I brought it up in the store, just sat in his chair for a smidging longer than my own tolerance level permitted.

The repair has fallen out he advised, so it was a sh1t repair then wasn't it mate?

Now waiting for another go...

Tricky when you are between a rock & a hard place, I emphasis.
Hope you get it sorted to your (& your wallet's) satisfaction.

To me 'H' are only good for not quibbling if you return faulty/unsuitable purchases & people who buy air fresheners/fluffy dice.
