Gate Damage

Hello. I’m not sure what kind of gate this is, it was here when I moved in but as you can see, it has started to rot. Is this fixable or would it be a new gate? It looks to be one fixed gate if that makes sense! Thanks.

The technical term for that is fuuuuked .

It needed a cap on the top of the uprights, and more rounded on the top to stop water pooling there, just make sure the replacement doesnt make those mistakes

It looks like the gate may be repairable depending on how extensive the rot is, especially around the posts, hinges, and frame. If the timber has deteriorated too far, replacing the gate may be the better long-term option. Arlington Expert Gate can assess the existing gate and advise whether a gate repair or a new replacement would be the most practical solution.

The term "yank" more or less went out of use in 1945 ie its dated.
It was rarely used even when the USA provided Britain with "Stinger" SAM's during the Falklands War.

Arlington Gate was obviously a gate supply company who have had their post deleted, presumably by a mod. But it popped up on my “new posts” hence why I replied.
