no screen

when i turn on my pc it doesnt seem to send a signal to the monitor. its a packardbell with xp. seemed ok last time i used it, although it is a bit slow

Have you checked connections are secure? Graphics card may have jigged about in it's slot, or are the graphics onboard? Do you play games? (computer games )

thanks for the reply, opened it up checked for loose 'bits', all seemed ok, retried to start it--no better, its now at shop being looked - bloke there also said pos graphics card - I'll find out in a few days.
