I have a handrail to fit and just want to know what angles the ends should cut at. It will be fitted to the wall with L-shaped brackets and the gradient is approximately 45 degrees.

I have looked around but can't find advice as to the angle to cut the 2 ends. Any help will be gratefully received.

most stairs are slightly less than 45 degrees, more like 42 deg' making the going tread slightly bigger than the riser.

i would be inclined to cut the ends square then round them off. cutting them to the stair angle will create a relatively sharp edge.
