Hi

First-time poster...

Hope someone can help, a while ago a something blew and I lost use of one of the dimmers (4 halogen bulb light). Changed all 4 bulbs still doesn't work, so I took the dimmer switch off to see if it was a fuse problem. But now can't remember where 3 wires should go. I have attached a front and back pic with numbered wired. Could someone please give me some guidance about what goes where??

Also wire 3, should this go between the 2 dimmers? As when I took the front off one end was out... was this the reason it wasn't working in the first place?

Thanks for any help

thats them

also, i dont like those black's in terminal block... :(

stick the wire thats connected to the switch and hanging out the other end in to the same terminal on the next switch.

the next bit is an educated guess put the remaining red with no tape in the same terminal and the red with black tape in L2.if that is wrong swop the remaining red and red with black tape like for like and it should be happy days.

earth the switch!

Hi Daytona

So do you mean wire 3 into the wavy line with arrow. Then wire 1 into L2 and wire 2 into L1 (or vise-versa)

Thanks

Ok

Got back to where I was with one dimmer working, so I guess the other switch is broken?? Think I will get a new dimmer switch and go from there!

Thanks

no mate
2 and 3 into squiggle wire 1 into L2

may have to swop 2 and 3 over as you may perm feed one set of lights
