Adding extra radiator to existing system

I have an existing system which is working very well. Condensing boiler, pumped system ,conventional indirect hot water tank in airing cupboard, rads in most rooms. My question is I would like to add a radiator in my conservatory. The existing system is 15mm but I would like to use 10mm microbore for the extra rad. I have located the tapping positions and the pipe run would be much easier if I can use 10mm. If this is not adviseable I will do it with 15mm.Is there anything special for me to look out for when restarting the system after fitting

10 mm with f&e will give you a good chance of future problems

I just steer clear of 10mm full stop.

15mm has double the bore area of 10mm, so i would go with that unless its an absolute ball ache.

Use 15mm & I believe you must have independent means of control & isolation of the radiator (not just the rad. valves) to keep BC happy.

Not sure exactly what the regs. say but it's been the case for some time. Cons. doesn't normally come under building regs. & so the insulation levels are not controlled. It's all about energy conservation & is the same reason you must have an external grade door fitted between the cons & the house! I don’t think requirements are onerous, just means the heat from the radiator has to be controlled & capable of being isolated but you need to check the regs.

Thanks Guys for the advice. 15mm it is with isolating valves fitted at the tapping point.

Useful info about the door needing to be exterior quality , didn't know that.

10mm copper is the work of the devil, use 15mm
