I was also in trouble because of the traffic light. I got two long-time light. Each spent me 90-s, then when I went into the office, the boss murmured me"you are late today...

middle lane drivers on the motorway....i hate them

they drive in the centre lane beleiving they have the right as the left lane is for trucks / lorries and not cars, they dont realise the build up they are casuing behind them, im sure a high percentage of traffic build up would be cut if idiots used the lanes properly, and its not just restricted to the day if im out playing poker around the country and coming home at 4am they are still there, i sometimes wonder if they are employed to wind me up, they need to be pulled over to the hard shoulder and shot. no messing no excuses!

But they are breaking the law themselves by speeding. Speeding will get you a heftier fine than sticking to the middle lane. Who decides which rule of the road they should follow? You speed - others hog the middle lane.

Temporary traffic lights are seldom set up correctly, nor do they ever have sufficient energy to see them through the night!

There was a set I came across once, where my side turned green, while traffic was still coming through the other way. It turned red, and traffic was still coming! It was a very long stretch of roadworks and some numpty has obviously not set the "all red" time long enough. I was rather late that morning.

And another set on a busy country road, I came across at 6am, totally dead. I drove through at about 30mph, so that I could stop if there was oncoming traffic - roadworks were on my side. Just glad I didnt have to face this at 8am when there were other cars about.
