So, we can now install to 16th or 17th for a few months.....



But what do we test to with regards PIR's?



Umm......




Got several next week to do. Shall have to look at the faults and then decide if they fall under both, one, or the other!
 
If you go for the 17th, you're going to find a heck of a lot of Code 4 bathrooms....
 
And pretty much every circuit which has concealed cables and no RCD protection.
Not so obvious on a PIR.

How many people try to establish the route and depth of buried cables, and if they have earthed mechanical protection or not?
 
Depth should be simple enough, have a look at where the cable enters the backbox. If it's less than 50mm from the surface.....
Earthed mechanical protection? Maybe not so obvious but you may get an idea by looking at the entry to the backboxes, if not then a code 3.
 
Neither have I.

That's why I have not said either way.
