you must only ever have one "open" pipe at a time. if changing a rad valve, close the valve at the other end.

if like me you are very mean it might save the cost of a new bottle of inhibitor

if you have many to do it may be less trouble to drain.
 
Working for BG with time restraints they are a nessesity!

Comes up still every single time....bung it change a 3 port valve, it works fine. Always carry a spare kit though, just in case.
 
have the normal black rubber (regin) and found a merchant selling wine bottle stoppers (best description) 15 22 & 28, work great on splined tank outlets
 
dnt know what id do without um! they save so much time, jus get ready if ya hear a gurgling in the loft :lol:
 
i never DD if i can get away with it. i reckon i haven't for more than a year now. you can have x amount of open ends as long as you expect the appropiate amount of water to exit the pipes in question.
 
Carrot for the feed potato for open vent , got a mate that does it says he gets a better seal
