I am replacing the bath and need a 3/4 isolation valve..Struggling to find one, need to try Plum Centre tomorrow.

Does one exist

Would the following work....Use a 22mm isolation valve but replace the 22mm olive with a 3/4 one...

Any ideas?

Assume that the pipework is 22mm copper, use a 22mm isolation valve, 3/4 is the thread size

22mm with copper olive will work spot on even certain brass ones will pull up perfectly ok on 3/4. 3/4 Olives prob cost you about£1 each

Redhot 3/4 is old copper pipe size and nothing to do with thread

im assuming the pipe is the old imperial 3/4 which is smaller than 22mm and therefore you would need a 3/4 olive which you can buy separate.

cheers guys, the pipe is 3/4 or 21mm, so I would be ok substituting the 22mm olives with 3/4 olives and nip it up.

ive used 22mm olives wrapped in ptfe on 3/4 in the past but had a bad experience a few years ago.left a 22mm iso valve on a mains supply into a basement boiler room of a health centre ,came back the next morning to find 3 boilers half submerged in water.ive always used 3/4 olives since!
