Have recently had Baxi duo - tec combi he with a remote thermostat. Having happily had previous system set to just below 20C for the majority of the time I'm finding I need this one set about 5C higher. Even then it seems chilly before the boiler fires up then too hot before it switches off.

Have tried placing the the wireless thermostat in different parts of the house but it doesn't make any real difference.

Has anyone else had any similar experiences, or have I got a faulty thermostat?

Many thanks.

Ah well, don't spose you need a lecture on Control Systems, but put the stat where it's more affected by a heating radiator, so it responds quicker.

Just below 20 would be a bit cool for most folk watching the box in their living rooms. Maybe you old one was indicating low. I know it's annoying but it doesn't really matter as long as you feel at the right temp.

What size Duotec and what was your old boiler?
Do you have another thermometer you can check the thermostat against?

Really? :? So presumably the best place for the stat is right above the radiator? :!:

That's fine for people sitting with their backs to the radiator, but those on the other side of the room will not feel very warm.

If it's still under warranty call Baxi out
08706 096 096

They may just order a replacement and send direct to you.

What baxipot is really saying is if it is baxi own make they are having quite a bit of trouble with the remote stats

Because a mate who uses them is getting a 30%plus failure rate on them under g`tee and is getting fed up changing them. He is going back to danfoss/drayton
